Hydrostatics & stability
Computes hydrostatic tables and curves, the floating position, GZ and cross curves, tank data and loading conditions, and the analysis of an inclining experiment. The general intact stability criteria of IMO Resolution MSC.267(85), Part A 2.2, and the weather criterion of Part A 2.3 are assessed and reported one by one, with no overall statement of compliance. Each run can be saved as a PDF report, as a results file that the tool opens again, and as tables of results in CSV.
- Input
- A closed STL or OBJ mesh, or a table of offsets from CSV, an Excel workbook (.xlsx), an image or a PDF page; values read from an image or a PDF are shown in a table to be checked against the source before they are used. The tool does not read IGES or STEP; export the hull from them as STL or OBJ first.
- Runs on
- A current web browser, online or as a single file for offline use.
- Licence
- The OpenNAOE Tool Licence 1.0 for its own code: free to use, not to be modified or redistributed. Third-party components keep their own licences, listed in the tool's notices. Full terms

This tool supports learning, teaching and early design with documented analytical checks and published-hull comparisons. Approval and onboard use require an approved stability instrument (IMO MSC.1/Circ.1229, IACS UR L5); this tool does not provide that approval.
